David A. Roberts - senior partner

Dave began working as an attorney in Washington in 1994 and has been practicing in Kingston since 2001. He prefers the relative peace and quiet of small town law after many wonderful years of working on fast-paced insurance defense for a medium-sized Seattle law firm. Dave is a member of the Federal Bar in the Western District of Washington and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals as well as the Washington State Bar.

Dave grew up on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. His father owned a small convenience store and Dave has fond childhood memories of watching his father chuckle and converse with friends while sipping coffee in the Cape Cod sun. Dave graduated from Brown University in 1987 with a double major. After graduating from Beasley School of Law at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1994, Dave and his wife Alison moved from the East Coast to Hansville, Washington with their children.

In his spare time, Dave enjoys trail running, skiing, hiking and biking, and spending time with his wife, three daughters, and two granddaughters. Dave also regularly volunteers at Kitsap Legal Services’ Housing Justice Project, where he helps low income tenants understand their legal rights, protect their housing, and effectively fight unlawful eviction actions.

Paul 2_websize.jpg

Paul W. Bryan - OF COUNsEL

Born and raised in Seattle, Paul always found himself standing up for others. Whether at a shipmate’s Captain’s Mast in the Navy (he’s a Vietnam Vet), or negotiating with employers as President of the Stage Employees Union in Seattle, helping others always came with the territory.

Paul took advantage of the GI Bill and went to the University of Washington and then, naturally, chose to study law. After graduating from The Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College, Paul remained active with the Union until he became a husband and father (in that order). Wisely giving up “show business,” he moved to Poulsbo, Washington with his family and developed a successful Worker’s Compensation practice in Silverdale. In 2005, Paul joined Dave in Kingston while continuing to maintain his solo Worker’s Compensation practice. Paul brings his personal injury expertise to the Firm in addition to estate planning, real estate, and general civil litigation.

Paul spends his spare time serving as President of the Board at the Port Gamble Theater, and performing at community theaters around the county. Otherwise, Paul can be found underwater (a SCUBA instructor), on it as a kyaker, or hiking trails in the mountains that surround it. He also loves running half marathons and riding his Harley.

jessica m. jetter - attorney

Jessica was born and raised in Kingston, Washington and graduated from North Kitsap High School. After high school, Jessica moved to Seattle and obtained her bachelor of arts degree with honors in Environmental Studies and Political Science from the University of Washington in 2011. She then moved to the Bay Area and worked as a legal assistant for the Sierra Club National Environmental Law Program in San Francisco, California.

Jessica joined the Firm in October, 2018, as an Associate Attorney after graduating Cum Laude from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Jessica brings to the Firm the experience she gained as a law clerk for a solo practitioner, a judicial extern to the Honorable Ronald B. Leighton for the United State District Court Western District of Washington, and a Lead Article Editor for the Lewis & Clark Law Review. Jessica enjoys meeting with clients, learning their stories and struggles, and helping them devise creative and comprehensive plans for everything from estate planning to litigation strategies.

Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, reading, rock climbing, trail running, ultramarathoning, and exploring local restaurants.

Laura_websize.jpg

Laura Gronnvoll - paralegal

Laura has been the Firm’s administrative expert in all things probate since 2006. Laura first came to the office as the personal representative of an estate because she had a few legal questions regarding probate. Dave and Paul were instantly impressed with the detailed knowledge Laura had obtained about the probate process while administering the estate all on her own. Not long after, Dave and Paul invited Laura to join the team. Laura continues to provide exceptional service to clients and invaluable assistance to the Firm.

If Laura is away from the office, it is because she is serving the people of Kingston as one of the three elected Port of Kingston Commissioners. Laura also enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in her community.
